“New” Truck! (version 2021)
Update on Transportation. 2021
This old truck pictured here is now officially retired. The chassis rusted out to the point it was unsafe to drive in addition to other mechanical problems. It has been parked since 2017. Now it serves as spare parts to the Landrover we purchased in 2016. Amazing how the truck keeps on giving.
The original work horse. RIP
(Just rebuilt this old truck “again” now ready to get back in action.).
Above. No longer valid written in 2016
13 Years of driving in Mozambique has taken its toll on our old Landrover and one more time it left us stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Praise the Lord we have purchased a “new” to us Landrover to be able to use while the old work horse truck is being repaired. We don’t want to use the newer truck for construction materials just yet so the old truck will be great for that. Thank the Lord for a donation from Global River Church for enabling us to capitalize on this deal.
2021
We have been using one vehicle for years now and it is just not possible anymore. The truck above is now in it’s repair years and we need an alternate 4×4 truck with good highway performance as well. With the need to go 100 miles to Nampula for needed supplies this old Landrover is not making the cut anymore. Pray the Lord will help us find a way to arrange one more vehicle.

The original story…“June of 2003 • 4 of us from the same church caught a wave of revival to head over to Mozambique, Africa.
Our church graciously provided the funds to purchase the original a new Landrover.
Now 2014 • 11 years later and I am still serving in Mozambique. That new Landrover is now beyond reliable service and that brings us to one of our greatest finacial challenges in 11 years. Let me tell you that old Landrover has provided us with excellent service.
Carrying building materials, pastors, doing outreaches, visiting bush churches and so much more. One night a baby was born in the back while Andrea was taking the person to the hospital, ut the baby came out first. I have used it on several occasions to take bodies of friends or there relatives out of hospitals and back to their villages to be buried. Cannot count the number of rides I have given to locals and missionaries. We have been extremely blessed to have that truck.”
Thank you and God bless you.

Iris Harvest Mission School Outreach!
The Iris Harvest Mission School graduating students go a 2 week outreach after completing the 3 month mission school. The go to some of the more isolated areas of the bush. Andrea and I have been fortunate enough to receive them and provide ministry opportunities for them to spread the love of Jesus throughout our region. They came and showed the Jesus film in nearby villages seeing healings and salvations. These missionaries preach and pray for the locals sowing the love of Jesus into the lives of a forgotten people.
I took them over to our adopted village to minister to the families we support. There are over 20 families Andrea and I support or provide opportunities for work. We also provide school materials for all the 350 school children in this village.
We stopped at as many of houses as time would allow sharing the love of Jesus and praying for families. I have never seen the people in this village more excited and happy in my life. When the missionaries left all the families we did not visit were complaining to me asking why didn’t we go to their house.
All I could say was next time…
Such a blessing to these people to receive the pure love of Jesus in such quality and quantity. Thank the Lord.
We ran out of time and the tide came in flooding the river on the path to our land so the walk back got a little wet. Everyone had a great time making the crossing. I have had to cross this river many times when I was alone so making the crossing with such good sports opened my eyes to how much fun I was suppose to be having… I will never again walk that path with my head held down.
Come be a part of the next group!
